Ammonium sulfate would make sense? Zinc sulfate, copper sulfate? I guess the huge quantity of calcium is binding most of the sulfer you are adding. I dont know how sulfer gets unlocked, except perhaps the soil biology. I also haven't read or seen anything on foliar feeding sulfer. Other than foliar feeding, my guess is the soil biology is somehow going to play a role in the plants getting more sulfer. Best wishes!

Update: Some research suggests that elemental sulfer is better fertilizer than sulfate, even though plants use sulfate, the biological transformation of sulfer into sulfate is very healthy for soil & plants:

Great idea on the Zinc and Copper sulfate. I think you’re onto something with the calcium binding up the sulfur. Looking forward to reading the articles this weekend. Because of my high PH, I use a lot of elemental Sulfur, I add about 200lbs each year to the patch(5,000 sqft). FWIW Relatively cheap amendment at $20 for 50lbs
