Get rid of any and all leaves and tiny side vines that could be acting like a kick stand. Try to not get any dirt on those new wounds. Looks like you have a heavy, thick vine, so I would dig a little dirt out under the main vine and that should help get it down in the right direction. Remember that the leaves tend to get dew on them at night making them heavier, so you may want to have sticks on the underside holding it up, so it doesn’t snap at night.

The plants are the most pliable warmest part of the day and when sunny. You can work on training it down then, not morning or evening. Sometimes it's a process that involves multiple days of moving it down little by little using bamboo sticks.

They detest darkness, make it dark on the side you want to train them away from. I put a black 55 gal barrel behind them and just leave them alone to sort it out... This has been working well enough for me.

Bamboo to bring it down slow and/ keep it from flipping backwards like a bucking bronco.more bamboo to keep it from coming down too fast. Gently work with( warm part of day) it a little day after day. You may need to build up dirt if it doesnt want to play nice. gravity is on your side-no need to force it.

Also keep the back side shaded like Little said. Once it starts to lay down use sticks to hold it but keep the light down on the back side because it will want to keep turning for awhile. Good luck grow big

I always make sure the dirt in the crown area is very moist. Sometimes you can water that and it will begin to lay down immediately. It is still terrifying.
