Myco is not a topically-added amendment, although it CAN BE after the fact, butt to have it right in the SS Mix AND patch soil to begin with is the weigh to go. I am using one cup per 12 quarts of Seed-Starting Mix this year and had added prolly 25 pounds of it to 6,000 SF in a new patch last spring - Probably a lot less than I'd like to have added, lol. As soon as any root passes into its vicinity, a fragment or spore/whatever activates and attaches to/invades it, starting the relationship. You will generally not see any results in the near term other than greater drought tolerance + lack of wilting even in seedlings, generally-'better' plants and so on, but in the long run, Myco is very beneficial all season and there for you with a culminative effect, like that extra $20 you keep in your car for emergencies. Good investment! I had that happen tonight and now I'm stuffed on Taco Bell! Burp. Good Luck---eric g

I just followed the directions on the free sample pack I received. Nothing lost. I do have a lot more that I'll use when transplanting.
