Jordan, Are you soaking the seeds for 12 hours and placing on moist paper towel in a ziploc bag in a warm area for a few days to get germination prior to planting?

Hi Mike. No I didn't germinate them prior to planting in soil. I just filed the edges and placed them directly in dirt.

Well it looks like they are growing very well now which is great. All the experienced growers I know soak (from 4-24 hours, with or without some special sauce - like help powder) then keep moist in paper towel in ziploc bag for a couple days in a warm dark spot. This almost guarantees close to 100 germination. Don’t leave in the moist towel too long though as I’ve lost seeds to fungal infection because I left them for too many days and had them too wet. You want a barely wet paper towel with all the water squeezed out. If you just put one layer over top you can see if the root is growing at the top. Some file and some don’t - I’ve tried both ways and it didn’t make any difference. Once you see the white root tip you plant in a quality potting mix and you are off to the races. As you know some of these seeds can be expensive and it’s always good to have each one produce! Cheers and happy growing!
