I posted some photos of a problem I'm having with plants over the last 3-4 years. Anyone have any idea what this problem is?? https://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryView.asp?season=2025&grower=101557&action=L

The leaf deformation looks like leaf scorch, from the heat. Was it happening in weather that wasnt hot? Stunted yellow vines that tend to wilt, coupled with fruit abortion is usually yellow vine disease which would be a separate issue from the leaf scorch.

My guess. Nutrient problem. Excess iron and soggy soil.

Garwolf- Few questions... 1. If you cut the vine how does it look on the inside?
2. If you carefully remove a root in the area of "infection" does it look consistent color and growth?
3. What is the speed of progression?
4. What other plants/crops are in about 1/2 mile from your patch?
5. What part of the plant do you see the first signs of an issue? (Ex. New leaves, old leaves, leaves near the pumpkin,...)
This will be a start to help the diagnosis process;-)

I had a plant do this to where the new growth looked good then would turn yellow with in a week. If I would of thought I should of sent a leaf sample to have it analyzed. I'm not sure put what is it called the disease where plants have it from the start? Someone with more knowledge than me would know this.
