I keep hearing about needing more boron than the usual lab results would suggest. What ppm of boron on a plant analysis would you recommend?

Tissue test will be 10x the ppms of a soil test...? Dont get the two confused or you'll end up coming to the wrong conclusions. Tissue test... The labs say the low 20's ppms is the cutoff for whats considered "adequate". I would consider this "bordeline deficient" to be deficient.
Lee, have you gotten your plant tested? What was the result? 40-80 ppm might be a comfortable zone? I'm not an expert, but I know that in my experience around 20 ppms is too low.

Tissue was at 30. I plan on pushing it higher. Tx.

Labs will say around 1•8ppm but that’s no where near enough. We prefer to have between 4&5ppm before the pumpkins are about the size of a beach ball. 6ppm is not a problem Personally leaf samples are not the answer here. A soil sample before pollination is crucial. Also because you are putting on such small amounts it really needs to go through your drip irrigation. I hope this helps Ian
