My question is will watering with a small daily dose of fertilizer still bring down my EC over time. My newly planted spot is currently 1.55Ec. My tap water runs .30(good ole rocky mountain city water). My spoon feed water I use on my potted seedlings is .60 with ron,s 15-30-15ish water soluble. The ec reading of seedlings still in potting soil and not planted out of their grow bags is .80 after watering 10days with the .6 spooning feed solution. So again my question is:

question again is. Will that .6 ec watering tend to bring down my 1.55 current readings or is there likely to be some unexpected rise in the SoilEc around the Plants from evaporation, plants uptake of water or biological mineralization.Asking what you expect to see or is it complicated.Asking for a friend:) My friend wants to make sure young plants are getting some nitrogen early though the spoon feeding versus using strait city water.

It will only continue to rise if you don't occasionally flush the area with straight water. Like they say in the hydroponics world when in doubt flush it out.

All depends on the quantity of water? You can lower your EC by overwatering and leaching your soluble fertilizer out. If you dont overwater, then the plant itself could lower your EC, but that would take awhile?

So around the plants I can tell you for a fact it will rise if the roots aren't there but once your roots get to the soil your ec will quickly drop. I measured under the canopy and outside of the canopy. It was .3 outside of the canopy and 1.6-2.5. I was feeding from .8 to 1.5
