I have been keeping a few backup plants in reserve in case something unexpected happens to the primary pumpkin plant that's been the ground for 15 days at this point. The plant in the photo is also a Van Houtte seed and it's grown well so far. It did lose a leaf recently due a mishap from the house sitter, but its not a big deal. I can probably squeeze another week out of it before it needs to find a home.
