It's quite ironic now, but for the past 10 days I have planned to plant my pumpkin on Friday (tomorrow). I didn’t know it at the time that the weather could care less about my plans. The forecasted low is 35 degrees.
Last year I winged it on pumpkin nutrient strategy, since I was growing on unprepared grass (my lawn). I ended with a 200# pumpkin for that effort.
This year I am committed to following the Wallace WOW nutrient plan. I've mapped out what to apply when on a calendar for the next three months.
I pre-prepped the planting area and covered it for tonight for some heat retention.
